As part of the implementation of the recommendations made by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, regarding the importance of promoting digitalization and facilitating access to scientific resources for the university community, the University of Tlemcen signed a partnership and cooperation agreement on Thursday, June 19, 2025, with the National Office of University Publications (ONPU). The signing ceremony was attended by the Rector of the University, Professor Mourad Meghachou, and the Director General of the ONPU, Mr. Zein El Abidine Boumelit.

 

The agreement aims to provide faculty members and students at the University of Tlemcen with access to "Iqra", the digital library offered by the ONPU. This platform contains a substantial collection of books, references, and academic publications across various fields. The subscription is part of the university’s efforts to provide reliable and up-to-date knowledge resources, thereby enhancing the quality of higher education and scientific research.

 

This initiative represents a concrete step toward the digitalization of academic content and the broader utilization of national academic publishing, supporting students and researchers in their educational and scientific pursuits.
